Parts Manager - Huntsville Toyota

Position Summary

Manages parts operations within the dealership to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control. Optimizes parts department processes. Attracts, retains, and effectively engages department personnel.

Essential Functions 

  • Manage department inventory
  • Keeping up-to-date on manufacturer warranty and policy procedures while serving as a liaison with the factory representatives
  • Ensure Parts Department staff is properly trained
  • Analyze sales, expenses and inventory each month to maintain dealer goals
  • Work with the Service Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for Warranty and Customer Pay jobs
  • Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the parts department
  • Develop, enforce and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
  • Ensures all parts are invoiced correctly internally and externally
  • Estimate length of time to receive any back-ordered parts and clearly communicate it to customer
  • Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information


  • Previous parts experience required
  • Previous management experience preferred
